Job Title: Lead Investigator

Job Summary:

The Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Investigator to join our team. As a Lead Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting complex investigations, analyzing evidence, and preparing comprehensive reports. You will work collaboratively with other investigators, law enforcement, and external agencies to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough and impartial investigations of allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation (ANE) in State Supported Living Centers.
  • Analyze evidence, interview witnesses, and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Collaborate with other investigators, law enforcement, and external agencies to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior investigators.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective investigation and reporting.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in investigative work, preferably in a healthcare or social services setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to ANE.
