Stability Direct is currently looking for a Histology Specialist to join our team.

Position Overview

The Histology Specialist will play a crucial role in the preparation of specimens for microscopic analysis. This position involves utilizing advanced equipment and techniques to ensure accurate diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare specimens for sectioning and mounting using automated tissue processors and microtomes.
  • Produce high-quality microscopic slides for immediate review by Pathologists.
Qualifications

Required:
1. Candidates must fulfill the following educational and experience criteria:
a. Completion of a formal histology training program or an Associate's degree in relevant sciences.
b. Certification as an HT/HTL (ASCP) or eligibility to take the HT/HTL (ASCP) exam, with the requirement to pass within eighteen months of graduation or relocation to Georgia.
c. A minimum of two years of experience in a pathology laboratory setting.
2. Strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and effective communication skills are essential.
3. All candidates must successfully complete a Color-Acuity screening test.

Preferred:
1. Experience with computer systems and data entry.
2. Background in immunohistochemistry.
3. A Bachelor's degree in a scientific field along with completion of a formal histology technician program.

Work Schedule

This position offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, with shifts from 7 PM to 3:30 AM. There are no weekend or on-call requirements, and shift differentials are available.
