About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Environmental Scientist to enhance our Site Investigation & Remediation division. This role is pivotal in managing and executing environmental assessment and remediation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee, strategize, and implement environmental investigation and remediation projects.
- Define project scope, select investigation areas, and develop innovative solutions.
- Assess client needs and create comprehensive plans, specifications, and documentation.
- Lead teams in addressing complex environmental challenges.
- Investigate quality issues that may impact project execution and adjust plans accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations.
- Monitor project budgets to ensure financial viability.
- Represent the company in discussions with clients and regulatory bodies.
- Build and maintain client relationships and contribute to business development efforts.
- Guide and mentor junior staff, ensuring technical accuracy in their work.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
- In-depth knowledge of state regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to make informed decisions swiftly regarding regulatory matters.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on mentoring.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with site assessments and remediation strategies.
- Familiarity with urban site management and environmental assessments.
- Knowledge of state regulatory programs and remediation planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or a related discipline.
- 5-8 years of experience in environmental consulting with a focus on remediation.
- Master's degree is preferred.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is required.
- Licensed Environmental Professional or in the process of obtaining is preferred.
