About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Merchandise Coordinator to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient processing and merchandising of products on our sales floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute receiving and merchandising standards to ensure Associates are processing efficiently and effectively.
  • Engage and interact with all customers to provide an excellent customer experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store, adhering to our high standards of presentation and visual merchandising.
  • Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
  • Communicate effectively with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
  • Monitor productivity of the team and coach as necessary to ensure tasks and activities are completed according to store plan.
  • Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment and maintain all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area.
  • Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs, as well as adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and responding appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Team player with the ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Able to train others and possess 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.

This position has a starting pay range of $14.00 to $14.50 per hour, with actual starting pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
