Youth Program Technology Associate NF-03

This role is situated within the Child and Youth Services (CYS) framework, specifically at a designated military installation. The purpose of this announcement is to facilitate the recruitment process for potential vacancies within the program. Management retains the authority to allocate personnel based on mission requirements. This position qualifies for the NAF benefits package and accrual of leave.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations of the CYS Technology Lab, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Plan, organize, and implement engaging activities for program participants.
- Foster a supportive atmosphere within the CYS Technology Lab, equipped with suitable materials and resources to enhance computer software applications and Internet access.
- Provide supervision and accountability for all program participants.
- Maintain the functionality and condition of computers, peripherals, and software, addressing any technical issues as they arise.
- Engage with children and youth using approved guidance and developmental techniques.
- Advocate for and exemplify practices related to safety, fitness, health, and nutrition.
- Instruct children and youth on the effective use of equipment and software applications.
- Ensure that the assigned area meets and sustains standards for DoD/Army certification and national accreditation or equivalent.
Qualifications
1. Proficient in English communication (both verbal and written).
2. Minimum age of 18 at the time of employment.
3. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, with routine walking, bending, stooping, and standing.
4. Maintain health standards and be free from communicable diseases.
5. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Applications, including Internet usage (email, searching, web design) and network computing.
6. Hold a professional certificate or higher in computer science/information technology, or possess 24 months of relevant experience.

Additional Information
The Area of Consideration for this vacancy is global. Candidates eligible for Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) are included in this area.

Compensation and Benefits
This position is categorized under a pay band. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander for eligible employees. When applicable, Sunday premium pay will be compensated at a rate of 25% of the basic rate for all non-overtime hours worked on Sunday, up to a maximum of 8 hours.
