Job Description

The Field Construction Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting our construction crews in the field. This position will work closely with the General Foreman, Superintendent, and Operations Manager to ensure project documentation, timecards, and pre-fielding are completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support construction crews in the field to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
  • Mark out and submit USA tickets and site survey requests as required.
  • Pre-field and layout job sites to ensure a smooth construction process.
  • Notify relevant government agencies of planned work and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Support operations with daily routine issues related to construction projects.
  • Gather close-out documentation from the field and compile As-Builts and completion packs for clients.
  • Interpret specifications and drawings to order supplies and materials as needed.
  • Assist with inventory and deliveries to ensure timely project completion.
  • Coordinate with the field crew and project management to address any red-line changes.
  • Coordinate with the field crew to gather required backup documentation for completion packs, go-backs, and invoicing.
  • Create, update, and submit crew timecards accurately and on time.
  • Support pre-construction activities to ensure timely project start-up.
  • Create Time & Material bills for extra work as required.
  • Complete daily unit quantities, job diaries, and MSE lists (Material, Subsistence, Equipment).
  • Support field operations with coordination of scheduled customer shutdowns.
  • Coordinate with project management to confirm upcoming jobs are cleared and ready for construction.
  • Coordinate job packs and review and interpret construction drawings and crew instructions.
  • Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding project plans and daily scope execution.
  • Support operations and the General Foreman to facilitate updated project schedules.
Requirements
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, overtime, or shift work as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize HCSS Heavy Job Field Management Software.
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 1-2 years of construction administration or related experience, preferably in the construction utility industry.
