The Silver Lake Regional School District is seeking a skilled and experienced District Float Nurse to join our team. As a District Float Nurse, you will be responsible for providing health care services to students in the absence of the building school nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Administer student health assessments, medications, and treatments in accordance with established first aid protocols and procedures.
- Provide first aid and emergency care in accordance with established first aid protocols and procedures.
- Assume all other duties involving health-related issues as deemed necessary by the building level administrator and Nurse Leader.
- Valid Registered Nurse license to practice in the State of Massachusetts.
- Experience as a school or public health nurse is preferred.
The District Float Nurse will report to the Nurse Leader and Building Principals.Job Goals and Performance Expectations
- To meet students' health needs in the absence of the building school nurse.
- Administer student health assessments, medications, and treatments in accordance with established first aid protocols and procedures.
- Provide first aid and emergency care in accordance with established first aid protocols and procedures.
The District Float Nurse will be employed on a school-year basis, working 5 days a week.
EvaluationJob performance will be evaluated annually by the Nurse Leader.
