About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent Cancer Center. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in administering radiation therapy to patients with cancer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer radiation therapy to patients with cancer, ensuring accurate and safe treatment.
  • Prepare and position patients for treatment, selecting anatomic parameters accurately.
  • Collaborate with physicians and dosimetrists to deliver patient treatment plans.
  • Maintain detailed records of all therapy sessions, ensuring compliance with regulatory agency standards.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and adjusted, including linear accelerators.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
  • Submit high-quality images and documents to PACS, ensuring accurate patient data and history.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
  • One or more of the following certifications required: Cardiographic Tech, Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiation Therapy, or Medical Sonographer.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
