Job Purpose

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget. This requires excellent communication skills, as you will collaborate with various stakeholders, including construction workers, architects, and engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to determine project needs and develop project plans.
  • Set performance goals and deadlines, and oversee the construction process to ensure timely completion.
  • Estimate costs and ensure the project is on budget, while also monitoring and reporting on project progress.
  • Supervise staff and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality work.
  • Implement safety and quality guidelines, and ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Order equipment and materials, and arrange for regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Keep track of material stock and orders, and ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly.
  • Resolve on-site issues and emergencies, and make decisions quickly to ensure project success.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma with five years of applicable construction experience.
  • Two plus years of previous commercial construction experience as a superintendent or in a similar role required.
  • Experience with aluminum and insulated metal panels strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.
  • In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to lead and inspire.
  • Ability to make decisions quickly and convey accurate information to stakeholders.

  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and exactness is extremely important in this position.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of employees, customers, and personalities.
  • Ability to manage stress and high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are very important to communicate with employees and customers.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills are necessary due to the demands of the position.
  • Out-of-state traveling by car or airplane will be required.
  • On-the-jobsite training will be required.
Physical Demands
  • Exposure to typical construction work areas and jobsite terrain.
  • Work on platforms, aerial lifts, and personnel hoists.
