Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Imaging Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating Computed Tomography (CT) and/or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment, preparing patients for examination, and ensuring that proper information has been obtained for the physician to make a diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities- Operate CT/MRI Equipment: The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CT/MRI equipment, preparing patients for examination, and ensuring that proper information has been obtained for the physician to make a diagnosis.
- Prepare Patients for Examination: The Imaging Technologist will prepare patients for examination by placing them on the exam table, positioning them within the gantry, and ensuring that all necessary information has been obtained.
- Administer Contrast Agents: The candidate will administer intravenous (IV) and oral contrast agents as per Radiologist order, verifying that there are no contraindications to administration of the IV contrast agent.
- Transmit Cases to Radiologist: The Imaging Technologist will transmit cases to on-call Radiologist through the use of Tele-Radiology system.
- Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program: The successful candidate must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
- New York State Department of Health Licensure: The Imaging Technologist must be licensed by the New York State Department of Health as a Radiologic Technologist.
- ARRT Registration: The candidate must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Registered Technologist (R.T.).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification: The Imaging Technologist must be certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support.
