Position Summary:

  • Provide comprehensive support as a Full-Stack Software Applications Engineer for the development and operational maintenance of diverse systems and initiatives.
  • Enhance operational efficiency, automate workflows, and ensure customer solutions are aligned with the overarching digital framework.
  • Advocate for cutting-edge IT solutions, collaborating with IT mission partners to share technology insights and ensure that records management processes are integrated into the early design phases of IT solutions.
  • Coordinate with customer technical interfaces to ensure that future technology strategies are consistent with the overall customer architecture.
  • Design and develop software applications as web services utilizing JavaScript-based technologies, including but not limited to Node JS, Angular with Typescript, and Spring Boot with Hibernate.
  • Maintain and develop software applications that interact with data stored in relational databases such as Postgres and MySQL, as well as cloud technologies like AWS.
  • Develop, upgrade, and maintain APIs and search functionalities using REST-like APIs to facilitate communication with other software applications and databases.
  • Utilize XML, JSON, or other specified standards for data transfer and metadata management.
  • Support the development and maintenance of content management systems, including Domino and SharePoint.
  • Design and maintain forms using Adobe or other forms software as required.
  • Enhance search functionality and website usability by leveraging enterprise capabilities and supporting legal mandates.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Proven experience in Java development.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and Typescript.
  • Experience with application frameworks such as Spring Boot and NodeJS-NestJS.
  • Familiarity with Python programming.
  • Competence in using an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) such as IntelliJ, Eclipse, or NetBeans.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
  • Experience with web services (REST) and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
  • Knowledge of relational databases, including Oracle and Postgres.
  • Experience working in a Linux environment, including Bash scripting.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical infrastructure concepts.
  • Flexibility to shift between projects based on priorities.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
