Nurse Specialist

Aequor Technologies is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting. As a PCU RN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients, focusing on those who are stable enough to leave the intensive care unit. Your expertise will be essential in monitoring patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall condition, promptly identifying and addressing any changes in status. You will administer medications, including IV drips and infusions, as prescribed by physicians, and perform complex nursing procedures. Additionally, you will collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be crucial in educating patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and discharge planning, promoting understanding and compliance. Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the PCU setting
- Monitor patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall condition, promptly identifying and addressing any changes in status
- Administer medications, including IV drips and infusions, as prescribed by physicians
- Perform complex nursing procedures, such as inserting IV lines and managing cardiac rhythms
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and discharge planning, promoting understanding and compliance
Requirements
- Current RN state license in good standing
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Stepdown Unit, or related critical care nursing field
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required
- Strong knowledge of critical care nursing practices, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
