Job Description:

L&W Supply is a leading specialty distributor of drywall, ceiling tiles, steel framing, and other building materials used by commercial and residential contractors. As a CDL Delivery Truck Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe delivery of these products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivery Operations: Safely operate a delivery vehicle to/from the delivery site, unload and stock building materials on jobsites as directed, and physically handle material with a co-worker.
  • Site Safety: Oversee the safe loading of the delivery vehicle to ensure the order is accurate and that the products are of the highest quality possible, obey all regulatory agency and company safety directives, and supervise and expedite the unloading operation at delivery sites.
  • Material Handling: Accurately distribute and place all specified building materials as indicated on the order ticket, safely and effectively operate a boom, crane, or Gradall as needed, and ensure that the delivered product is neatly placed and appearing as orderly and presentable as possible.
  • Warehouse Work: Perform warehouse work, including loading and unloading of materials on to or off of trucks or into warehouse as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL: Class B minimum
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist throughout complete shifts, and consistently lift and carry 250 lbs with assistance.
  • Experience: Flatbed, straight, and/or drywall boom truck experience is a plus, trailer-mounted forklift experience is preferred, and crane certification is preferred.
