About the Role
Augsburg University seeks a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join its facilities team. As a key member of our maintenance staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our campus facilities.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain designated areas, including restrooms, common areas, and hallways
- Empty trash and recyclables, and restock supplies as needed
- Operate cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, mops, and cleaning solutions
- Perform deep cleaning tasks, such as carpet cleaning and window cleaning
- Assist with event setup and cleanup
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One year of experience in cleaning or maintenance preferred
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
