As a Production Manager, your primary responsibilities will include overseeing production supervisors and ensuring operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delegating tasks, enforcing policies, and suggesting enhancements in production techniques, equipment, and workplace conditions.

Additional responsibilities encompass:

  • Leading, mentoring, and inspiring direct reports while developing production supervisors.
  • Facilitating positive employee relations and addressing any workforce issues through effective problem-solving.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and adherence to relevant programs and policies.
  • Identifying areas for improvement among supervisors and providing necessary training or assignments.
  • Maintaining product quality standards in line with established specifications and quality management systems.
  • Balancing quality, cost, safety, and employee morale to drive continuous improvement.
  • Encouraging employees to utilize problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address production challenges promptly.
  • Collaborating closely with scheduling to optimize overall company performance, including customer service.
  • Monitoring, assessing, and reporting on production performance metrics.
  • Conducting meetings with employees as required.

This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from an accredited institution or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of managerial experience overseeing a department with at least 3 salaried supervisors and a workforce of 100 or more employees.
  • Prior experience in a food manufacturing setting is essential.
  • Experience with packaging machinery/systems is preferred.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving on the production floor.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) and participate in production meetings across shifts.
  • Physical capability to walk, climb stairs, and ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Compensation: $120,000 - $160,000 annually, with the final offer based on various factors including education, experience, location, and specific job responsibilities.
