To apply finishes to a variety of parts and assemblies, utilizing expertise in painting and coating techniques to meet quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare painted surfaces, spray primers, polyester, urethane, and various paint finishes to basic parts or assemblies, working from oral and written instructions and established procedures.
  • Prepare traceability sheets for FAA tracking and maintain accurate records.
  • Operate spray guns, simple hand tools, and other measuring instruments to achieve desired finishes.
  • Mix paint according to specifications and apply paint to basic surfaces while maintaining finish requirements acceptable to shop supervision and quality control.
  • Adjust and clean spray guns and paint equipment or other company tools checked out for performing job assignments.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and work in accordance with general safety practices.
  • Perform other related duties as required, such as sealing various aircraft components.

Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent and Textron Aviation's blueprint reading class preferred.
  • 0-6 months of aircraft spray painting, masking, and cleaning experience.
  • Somewhat disagreeable working conditions with exposure to dust, noise, heat, fumes, and liquids. Safety shoes and protective clothing may be required.
