Bakery Position at IL Buco al Mare

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at IL Buco al Mare, a unique establishment that takes pride in its naturally leavened products and emphasizes organic and locally sourced ingredients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scaling, mixing, portioning, shaping, laminating, and baking a variety of dough;
• Knowledge and understanding of fermentation;
• Production and finishing baked goods for morning bake-off;
• Production of confections and batters;
• Maintain a sourdough levain;
• Liaison with Head Baker Matthew;
• Complying with regulatory health and safety standards;
• Monitoring quality control for consistency and high standards;
• Setting up and breaking down the bakery each shift.

Requirements:

• Passion for IL Buco bread, ideology, and direction;
• Understanding of DOH and OSHA standards and regulations;
• Meticulous attention to detail and a sense of urgency;
• Clear communication, time management, and organization skills;
• Responsible work ethic, with a focus on working independently and multi-tasking;
• Ability to lift 50 pounds;
• Full-time, early morning flexibility. Note: must work weekends and holidays;
• Over One year of experience;
• Strong communication skills and professional working proficiency in English are a plus.
