Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified Emergency Medicine Physician to provide exceptional care in a dynamic emergency department setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work a schedule of 15 shifts per month, focusing on night coverage from 11 PM to 8 AM.
- Manage a facility with 44 beds and an annual emergency room volume of approximately 60,000 patients.
- Collaborate with a team of 10 emergency department physicians.
- Oversee the transfer of 1-2 patients daily out of a total of 150 patients seen.
- Engage with a fast track system that accounts for 30% of total emergency department volume.
- Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) as part of the care team.
- Utilize Meditrack as the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Participate in responding to house codes and airway emergencies.
Compensation: This position offers a highly competitive hourly rate. Local candidates are preferred, but full travel reimbursement is available if necessary.
Qualifications:
- ABEM or AOBEM certification is required, or board eligibility within five years of residency completion.
- Must possess a valid Massachusetts medical license or be in the process of obtaining one.
