Phlebotomist Trainee Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist Trainee to join our team at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health. As a Phlebotomist Trainee, you will play a critical role in collecting blood samples from patients of all ages across our medical center.

This is a paid role with on-the-job training, providing you with the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive and dynamic environment. Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Participate in classroom learning and hands-on activities to develop your phlebotomy skills.
  • Learn to perform various phlebotomy functions, including collecting blood samples, labeling specimens, and transporting samples to the laboratory.
  • Develop your knowledge of computer software systems and learn to complete and process various forms.
  • Prepare for national certification with the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Phlebotomy Technician exam (PBT).
Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines and manage changing volumes.
  • Basic knowledge of computer software systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Proven experience working with the public.

  • A $2,500* sign-on/retention bonus for day shifts.
  • A $3,000* sign-on/retention bonus for evening shifts.
  • A $4,000* sign-on/retention bonus for Nights/early morning shifts.

We also offer shift differential rate increases for evenings (10%), nights and early mornings (20%), and weekends (15%). The rate is compounded at the weekend.
