Job Summary:

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients in a clinical setting. You will work closely with our laboratory team to ensure accurate and efficient specimen collection and processing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect blood specimens from patients using venipuncture and skin puncture techniques.
  • Process specimens for analysis, including labeling, sorting, and storing.
  • Utilize computer systems to register patients, facilitate billing, and perform specimen accessioning and processing.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory staff to ensure accurate and efficient specimen collection and processing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Certification(s) and License(s) as required by state and federal regulations
