Key Responsibilities- Deliver Direct Services: Provide occupational therapy services to children with diverse needs, fostering their motor, sensory, and cognitive development.
- Develop Individualized Treatment Plans: Collaborate with parents and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for children.
- Conduct Assessments and Evaluations: Conduct assessments and evaluations in children's homes to identify specific therapeutic needs.
- Provide Education and Training: Educate and train parents or caregivers on strategies to support their child's development and address specific challenges.
- Collaborate with the Team: Collaborate with other professionals to support students and share best practices.
- A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- CA State licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with young children in educational or therapeutic settings.
- Knowledge of best practices in inclusive education and early childhood development.
Includ(Ed) is a nonprofit organization based in San Diego, California. Our mission is to increase access to quality, inclusive early childhood education and childcare. We provide early intervention-focused, full-time, inclusive preschool and work in homes across the county to provide holistic, play-based, relationship-centered Early Intervention therapies for children aged 0-3.
Working Hours and Physical Requirements- Approx. 35 hours per week providing home visit therapy to our clients (this includes travel time)
- Approx. 4 hours collaboration and admin time.
- Approx. 1 hour per week teaching community classes and therapeutic playgroups.
- Comfortable standing for 2+ hours per day, stooping, bending, climbing, and walking frequently, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
