As an Ultrasound Technologist II, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasounds in various areas, including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, small parts, and breast. You will utilize your clinical and technical knowledge to obtain high-quality sonographic images and detailed patient worksheets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasounds in various areas, including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, small parts, and breast.
  • Utilize clinical and technical knowledge to obtain high-quality sonographic images and detailed patient worksheets.
  • Work independently, requesting assistance when needed.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and personnel in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Maintain all certifications and licenses required for the position.
  • Promote a smooth flow of patients through the department and create a supportive atmosphere.
  • Conduct all interactions with patients and personnel in a courteous, respectful manner while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Maintain proper patient safety measures, including proper identification, confidentiality, HIPAA, etc.
  • Order and maintain supplies.
  • Support department staff on special projects as necessary.
  • Follow all governing guidelines set forth by organizations such as the Joint Commission, NYSDOH, etc., as well as, follow all departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • Minimum of two years experience in ultrasound is preferred.
  • Must be RVT certified.
