CLASSIFICATION OVERVIEW:

The role of the cashier involves the collection and management of payments for access to aquatic facilities, program registrations, and merchandise sales. Cashiers are responsible for interpreting and communicating District policies and regulations to the public. Additionally, they will perform various clerical duties associated with cashiering functions, ensure the cleanliness of their designated area, and engage in aquatic training sessions, which may include practical in-water components.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Collect and account for payments for admissions and sales.
  2. Provide information regarding District policies to patrons.
  3. Conduct clerical tasks related to cashiering.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  5. Participate in aquatic training and emergency response drills.
  6. Administer first aid and CPR as necessary.
  7. Respond to emergencies and implement the District's Emergency Action plan.

POSITION CHARACTERISTICS:

Cashiers in this classification are employed on a part-time, seasonal basis and do not have the opportunity to transition to permanent roles within the District. Work hours are flexible and determined by the operational needs of the District.
