Job Overview:

Craven Community College seeks a skilled and experienced CDL Instructor to join our Workforce Development team. As a CDL Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in our CDL courses, ensuring that students meet the requirements for their commercial driver's license.

About the Job:

We are looking for an individual with strong teaching skills and experience in the trucking industry. The ideal candidate will have a valid NC Class A CDL license, at least 5 years of over-the-road driving experience, and teaching/training experience with novice drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction to students in our CDL courses
  • Maintain accurate student attendance rosters and records
  • Coordinate the ordering of materials, supplies, and equipment
  • Present instruction in a professional, timely, and accurate manner consistent with Truck Driver Training policies and procedures
  • Evaluate students daily and make formal evaluations on a regular schedule

Salary:

$55,000 - $65,000 per year
