This role performs a wide range of laboratory procedures, including specimen processing, testing, and result reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in laboratory science and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures, including specimen processing and testing.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
- Assure quality control procedures are followed and results are accurately reported.
- Collaborate with other laboratory sections to ensure seamless workflow.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new testing procedures and protocols.
- Provide exceptional patient care and adhere to CHRISTUS Health's CORE values.
- Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
- One year of approved clinical laboratory experience, including a clinical rotation through various laboratory sections.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) from a recognized organization.
- State licensure (if required).
Full-time position with a 2PM - 10:30PM work schedule.
