Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Medical Recordkeeping and Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for employees, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and company regulations.
  • Health and Wellness Initiatives: Develop and implement wellness programs that align with company goals and direction, promoting a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Emergency Response and First Aid: Provide emergency care and first aid for injuries and illnesses occurring in the workplace, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Case Management and Workers' Compensation: Partner with workers' compensation adjusters, case managers, and providers to resolve claims in a timely manner, ensuring efficient and effective care for injured employees.
  • Safety and Ergonomics: Serve as a member of the Safety and Ergonomics committee, supporting safety and ergonomic functions at the location, and provide leadership in recognizing and preventing workplace hazards.
  • Medical Supply Management: Maintain adequate medical supplies for the facility, ordering supplies as needed to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Accident Investigations: Assist with accident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with medical, legal, and insurance personnel, representing the company in litigation proceedings as needed.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with current, active, and unrestricted state license (RN preferred).
  • Experience and Skills: Minimum three (3) years' nursing experience; occupational health experience preferred. Knowledge of OSHA standards and recordkeeping requirements, as well as effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work unusual shifts, move about the facilities in various environments, and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.

The Occupational Health Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, using excellent organizational skills and precise attention to detail. The ability to work in a team-oriented setting, with a strong customer-centric attitude and high energy level, is essential for success in this role.
