Job Title: Caregiver and Advocate

  • Estimated Salary: $28,000 - $40,000 per year

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to join our team at Twin Lakes Community. As a caregiver, you will be responsible for providing medical and physical care to our residents, promoting their psychosocial well-being through meaningful relationship building, and working with the household team to meet other social service needs of the resident and the household.

In this role, you will attend to all resident personal hygiene and personal care needs, including grooming, hygiene, dining, mobility, elimination, psychosocial, and safety needs. You will also participate in restorative therapy under the leadership of therapy professionals and observe residents closely to identify changing needs and conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical and physical care to residents, promoting their psychosocial well-being through meaningful relationship building
  • Attend to all resident personal hygiene and personal care needs, including grooming, hygiene, dining, mobility, elimination, psychosocial, and safety needs
  • Participate actively in the residents' plan of care, serving as the residents' closest advocate in directing their care and honoring their preferences
  • Work with the household team to meet other social service needs of the resident and the household

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a state-approved program for nursing assistants
  • Competency evaluated, tested, and registered with the state
  • High school graduate or GED preferred but not required
  • 2+ years of experience in a skilled nursing facility and dementia experience preferred
