Technology Integration Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Technology Integration Specialist to join our Technology Department. This role is essential in fostering the effective use of educational software across the district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with educators to enhance curriculum through technology integration, improving student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Deliver hands-on training and professional development sessions for faculty and staff on utilizing educational technology tools effectively.
- Assist educators in developing digital content and navigating learning management systems.
- Provide on-site support to educators by offering designated office hours at various schools.
- Resolve technical challenges related to educational technology.
- Collaborate with district leadership to ensure technology initiatives align with educational goals and standards.
- Manage user accounts across multiple platforms for all district personnel, including but not limited to Google, PowerSchool, and various educational applications.
Additional Duties:
- Engage with parents and families to facilitate access and training for the PowerSchool application.
- Distribute instructional materials to new staff members.
- Create and update tutorials as necessary.
- Maintain an inventory of computers assigned to staff.
- Oversee the PPS Staff Google site, ensuring tutorials and forms are current.
- Regularly update the PPS websites.
- Provide help desk support via phone and email for parents, staff, and students, including training sessions as requested.
- Generate surveys and reports for district administration and staff as needed.
- Assist administrators with the mass notification system.
- Serve as the MTRS administrator for the district.
- Act as one of the DESE Directory Administrators.
- Manage and maintain various educational software systems, including HMH, McGraw Hill, Canvas, Edgenuity, DRC WIDA, and Illuminate platforms.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, with a Master's Degree being advantageous. A minimum of two years of experience in supporting educational technology is required, with familiarity in PowerSchool administration being a plus. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, students, parents, and IT personnel, alongside proficiency in various software applications.
