Perfusionist

Penn State Health is seeking a highly skilled Perfusionist to join our Cardiovascular Unit team. As a Perfusionist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the heart-lung machine, cardiopulmonary support devices, and blood loss management equipment.

• Operate and maintain the heart-lung machine, cardiopulmonary support devices, and blood loss management equipment.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care.
• Monitor and adjust perfusion parameters to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

• Graduate of an American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) accredited school of perfusion technology.
• Current certification by the ABCP as a Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) or attain CCP status within one (1) year of graduation.
• A valid, current license in the State of Pennsylvania or licensure eligible.

• Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology, Physiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Nursing, Perfusion Sciences, or related field.
