Junior Engineer
to become a part of our
Systems Requirements, Integration, and Risk
engineering division.
Key Responsibilities:
Under close guidance, the following tasks will be performed:
1. Requirement Development:
- 60% of your time will be dedicated to assisting in the formulation of hardware and software specifications for rocket propulsion systems utilizing Digital Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies.
- You will be responsible for the derivation, allocation, and documentation of requirements within our requirements database and specifications.
- Collaborate with Integrated Product Team (IPT) members to ensure requirements traceability and manage changes effectively.
- Assist in defining and coordinating requirements verification strategies with team members.
2. Functional Analysis:
- 15% of your role will involve conducting MBSE-driven functional analyses and coordinating system trade studies.
- Engage in the selection of optimized concept baselines through benefit/cost analyses to support the definition of system architecture and objectives.
3. Risk Management:
- 15% of your responsibilities will include performing project risk assessments and management, preparing and reporting on mitigation strategies.
4. Communication:
- 10% of your time will be spent communicating findings through oral presentations and written reports.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An advanced degree is preferred.
- Coursework in Systems Engineering, including requirements management, risk management, and product development cycles, is highly desirable, particularly in the context of rocket propulsion.
- Familiarity with MBSE tools such as IBM DOORS, IBM Rhapsody, or similar software is strongly preferred.
Additionally, candidates may be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. U.S. Citizenship is mandatory, and applicants must meet federal government requirements for access to government information.
