Position Overview


*This role offers a potential sign-on bonus of up to $20,000.*

Unit Overview: This position is within a 24-bed short-stay stabilization unit.

Role Summary: The Assistant Nurse Manager plays a vital supportive role to the Unit Nurse Manager and nursing staff. This position entails 24/7 accountability with a primary focus on enhancing and maintaining favorable patient outcomes, optimizing the patient experience, facilitating patient flow, engaging staff, and managing operations, finances, and changes. Additionally, the individual must uphold essential nursing competencies relevant to their specialty. In the absence of the Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager will take full responsibility for the assigned unit(s). The role comprises 50% staffing duties and 50% administrative responsibilities.

**This position is scheduled for evening/night shifts, consisting of 4 ten-hour shifts weekly.**

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory.
  • Preferred: At least 1 year of formal nursing leadership experience.
  • Required: 1-3 years of relevant psychiatric nursing experience.
  • Must possess a Maryland Registered Nurse License and American Heart Association BLS Certification.
  • Membership in a Professional Organization is required.
