About the Position
The University of Denver is seeking a highly skilled Carillonneur to join our team as an Adjunct Faculty member. As a Carillonneur and Adjunct Faculty, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of teaching, programming, administration, and maintaining the carillon.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach weekly, 30-minute private lessons to students of varying skill levels
- Perform daily recitals during academic terms, as well as special events and concerts
- Provide tours of the carillon tower to students, alumni, and interested individuals
- Organize annual summer carillon recital series and arrange for maintenance of the instruments
Requirements
- Diploma from an accredited carillon school or a bachelor's degree
- Membership in the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America or a comparable affiliated guild
- Ability to teach students from beginning to advanced levels
- Public performance experience as a Carillonneur
Preferred Qualifications
- Established record of success as a Carillonneur
