Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program (diploma, associate, or bachelor).
Previous experience in an Emergency Room setting is preferred.
The Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering care to patients across various age groups:
- Toddlers (Two to Four Years)
- Children (Five to Nine Years)
- Adults (19 to 69 Years)
- Geriatrics (70 and Above)

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and document patient conditions, noting any signs of distress.
- Ensure equipment competency, including external pacers, defibrillators, and various emergency medical devices.
- Maintain inventory of department supplies each shift.
- Conduct comprehensive screenings including nutritional, fall risk, and psychosocial assessments.
- Develop and update care plans based on patient evaluations and physician orders.
- Communicate any changes in patient status to the appropriate healthcare team members promptly.
- Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring all pre-operative requirements are met.
- Administer medications safely and document their effects on patient health.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
