We are seeking an experienced trader to join our highly skilled US Equities team at Parallel Partners. As a trader, you will be responsible for analyzing and improving existing strategies, as well as driving new initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Make real-time trading decisions using both quantitative and fundamental data.
- Utilize data analysis tools to identify and respond to unique market opportunities.
- Collaborate with our dedicated technology team to develop and enhance effective trading strategies.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Preferred GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- 3+ years of experience in high-volume, proprietary trading.
- Proficiency in C++ programming, Excel programming, and VBA programming.
- Proven ability to develop new, profitable trading strategies.
- Knowledge of Python, SQL, or similar languages, with the ability to perform programming work using multidimensional arrays, nested loops, and complex conditionals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience working with large datasets.
- Passion for trading and financial markets.
- Strong mathematical aptitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and think independently.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively under pressure.
