About the Job

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team at Labor Finders. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and clients.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Cleaning and sanitizing areas, including restrooms, offices, and common spaces.
  • Emptying trash and recycling bins, and restocking supplies.
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors, as well as cleaning carpets and upholstered furniture.
  • Maintaining the grounds, including mowing lawns, sweeping walkways, and removing snow.
  • Operating equipment such as snow blowers, floor buffers, and carpet cleaning machines.
  • Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures.
  • Washing windows and mirrors, and removing stains and marks.
  • Reporting any damages or maintenance issues to management.
  • Ordering cleaning supplies and stocking them in designated areas.
  • Securing building entryways and locking doors.
  • Cleaning up spills and other hazards.
  • Moving heavy equipment and supplies.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Physical strength, depth perception, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Direct or related work experience, preferably in a janitorial or maintenance role.
  • Knowledge of general building operations and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
