Power Electronics Design Engineer

The Power Electronics Design Engineer will be a key member of the Product Evolution Process at SynQor, focusing on the design, development, and improvement of state-of-the-art power converters.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform circuit analyses, both paper analyses and computer modeling, to ensure optimal power converter performance.
  • Select and evaluate power components for power converter designs, considering factors such as efficiency, reliability, and cost.
  • Design printed circuit boards to implement or test power electronic circuits, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Purchase, setup, configure, and maintain laboratory equipment for circuit evaluation, ensuring accurate and reliable test results.
  • Test power converter circuits and characterize their behavior, identifying areas for improvement and implementing fixes.
  • Collect data for product datasheets and format that data for publication, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Create documentation to define product construction and performance, including product specifications and technical notes.
  • Assist in the transfer of products from development stage to production environment, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption.
  • Support product over its life cycle by diagnosing problems and updating the design, ensuring continued performance and reliability.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • 1+ years experience in power electronic design and/or 1-3 years general engineering and/or manufacturing experience is a plus.

Required Skills:

  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic, high-paced and changing environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is a plus.
