Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Process Technician will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of production processes, collaborating with various departments to enhance operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside engineers and fellow technicians to create and validate new tools and work instructions, as well as enhance existing processes.
  • Conduct initial builds for new connectors, cables, and harnesses.
  • Offer training and technical assistance to production staff.
  • Provide technical support for both new and existing tools.
  • Carry out rework and new builds for production test harnesses.
  • Assist in the preparation of Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA, SCAR, RCCA).
  • Engage in the review and response process for Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA).
  • Collaborate with Sales and Engineering teams to assess customer requirements for Request for Quotation (RFQ) support.
  • Propose and advocate for enhancements to processes, equipment, methods, safety, and production efficiency to ensure compliance with customer needs and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma; additional technical education or training is preferred.
  • Over five years of experience in an electronics manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and the assembly of precision electro-mechanical products.
  • Experience in assembling electrical connectors and custom cables and harnesses.
  • Current or prior certification in IPC-620 and J-STD-001 standards.
  • Strong verbal, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications is desirable.
  • Experience in various AS9145 APQP phases of product development is a plus.
  • Ability to utilize data to assess the effectiveness of standard work and implement changes.
  • Skilled in transforming methods and work instructions into user-friendly systems and formats.
  • This position requires access to information or hardware subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR.
