Weekly Schedule: 4 Days

Total Hours: 40 Hours

Hourly Pay Range: $17 - $26

Role Summary: The Laboratory Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing the activities of laboratory personnel during the pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical stages of testing. Responsibilities include creating work schedules, assigning tasks, and overseeing staff performance. This position also involves contributing to the development of policies and procedures pertinent to laboratory operations, staffing, and scheduling. The supervisor will implement quality assurance initiatives, maintain compliance documentation, and assist in budget preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the activities of laboratory staff to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Develop work schedules, assign duties, and evaluate employee performance.
  • Support the recruitment, training, assessment, and potential disciplinary actions of staff.
  • Establish and uphold laboratory policies, procedures, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Manage inventory to guarantee the availability of essential supplies.
  • Review quality control measures, proficiency tests, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of annual financial plans.

  • In-depth knowledge of laboratory regulations and operational procedures.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities for effective decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and comprehension skills.
  • Competence in executing laboratory protocols while ensuring safety compliance.
  • Able to collaborate effectively within a team and make informed judgments.
  • Leadership capabilities, including staff training and performance evaluation.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.

Qualifications:
