We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Novant Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures, providing support and maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that all procedures are conducted in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology program or Military Training Equivalent (68D - Operating Room Specialist) preferred.
- Previous Surgical Technologist experience preferred; current Surgical Tech Certification preferred.
- Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing.
- Effective and appropriate customer service skills, verbal and nonverbal communication techniques, interpersonal relationship skills, and time management skills.
