Job Description

Senior Backend Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our Engineering team as we continue to grow our platform. As a key member of our team, you will play a leading role in designing and implementing the core services and infrastructure that power our mental health chatbot.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable, production-ready applications using AWS Services such as Lambda, EC2, DynamoDB, and SQS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and build new features that enhance the user experience and enrich our mobile app APIs.
  • Work closely with our data team to build, deploy, and maintain data pipelines and NLP services.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers to ensure the success of the team.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in running robust, production applications.
  • Strong technical skills in AWS Services, containerization, and scalable workloads.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor and lead the team.

  • JavaScript (including ES6/2015), Python, DynamoDB, Git, React.
  • Docker, Kubernetes, AWS infrastructure.

Compensation:

$120K – $150K and higher (DOE)
