Job Description
As a Travel MRI Technologist for Focus Staff, you will operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images of patients' bodies. Under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, you will perform related technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care.
You will interview patients to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures, address concerns, and exhibit tact, courtesy, and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors. Ensuring patient and staff safety is a top priority, including explaining safety protocols, requesting removal of hazardous metal objects, and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
Orienting new hires and training MRI Technologists, students, and trainees are also essential responsibilities of this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Two years of experience as an MRI Technologist, with proficiency in all duties required of an MRI Technologist II.
- Licensure in the required state.
- BLS certification.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other team members.
- Ability to learn relevant applications for the position.
- 2 years of hospital experience in a clinical area, preferably EP.
