Position Overview
- Independently assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing interventions
- Delivers direct patient care with compassion and professionalism
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts patient triage, confirming allergies, symptoms, and medication history
- Administers prescribed medications and therapeutic treatments
- Organizes and prioritizes patient care effectively
- Accurately documents patient information and care provided
- Assists healthcare providers during examinations and procedures
- Educates patients and their families regarding treatments, medications, and health maintenance
- Performs essential medical procedures including blood draws, urine tests, and injections
- Handles laboratory specimens and conducts testing
- Orders necessary reagents, lab supplies, and medical equipment
- Maintains cleanliness of surgical instruments and prepares them for sterilization
- Reviews patient charts for completeness and accuracy of charges and diagnoses
Qualifications and Experience
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required
- At least 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Florida
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory
- Proficient computer skills are necessary
