Job Summary:

As a Material Handler at ETC, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. Your primary responsibility will be to receive, store, and distribute materials and products in a safe and efficient manner. This includes operating a forklift, moving parts from the receiving area to the appropriate storage location, and consolidating multiple pallets of parts. You will also be responsible for labeling, sorting, and wrapping products, as well as receiving and putting away finished goods and raw materials using a bar code scanner. Additionally, you will be expected to report any faulty equipment, damage to racks, or other safety hazards to your manager. If you are a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a forklift to move materials and products within the warehouse
  • Receive and store materials and products in a safe and efficient manner
  • Consolidate multiple pallets of parts and restock main locations
  • Label, sort, and wrap products
  • Receive and put away finished goods and raw materials using a bar code scanner
  • Report any faulty equipment, damage to racks, or other safety hazards to your manager
  • Ensure safe operation of a forklift
  • Unload trucks
  • Ensure parts are not damaged
  • Drive a forklift into semis or other trucks
  • Maintain inventory accuracy
  • Participate in cycle counting and physical inventory procedures
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 1 year of experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend English
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Able to operate a pallet jack
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to use a scanner
  • Able to drive a forklift
