Swim Instructor Job Description

At SafeSplash, we're passionate about teaching kids and adults the joy and skill of swimming. As a Swim Instructor, you'll play a critical role in upholding our teaching certification and curriculum, ensuring a fun and positive learning experience for our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach swimming skills in accordance with SafeSplash curriculum
  • Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and customers
  • Structure class time to incorporate repetition, reinforcement, and introduction of required skills
  • Ensure swimmer safety and maintain proper equipment and time organization
  • Provide monthly, individualized feedback on swimmers during Splash 'N Tell week
Qualifications:
  • 2 years of swim instruction experience
  • Red Cross CPR/AED certification for adult, infant, and child
  • WSI certification a bonus
  • Special consideration given to instructors with multiple years of experience teaching children aged 6 months to 10 years and/or special needs children
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75lbs
