Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to work with students with low-incidence disabilities in a specialized program in Spartanburg, SC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech therapy and experience working with students with vision or hearing loss.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs
  • Report on student's abilities in communications, and recommend appropriate levels of support, in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders
  • Utilize electronic documentation systems for IEPs and related documentation; utilize billing software for Medicaid reimbursement (Training is provided for candidates who are unfamiliar with these systems)
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns
  • Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload
  • Provide reports of a student's progress to parents
  • Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school
  • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders
  • South Carolina Speech-Language Pathology License
  • Active application for the SLP credential from the South Carolina Department of Education
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of South Carolina Special Education procedures and best practices for SLPs in educational settings
  • Professionalism and accountability
