We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting pharmacists with medication preparation, dispensing, and patient education.
Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists with measuring, mixing, and labeling medications according to prescription orders.
- Prepack medications for the floor and fill bottles with prescribed medications.
- Respond to patient inquiries and direct them to the appropriate department as needed.
- Maintain proper storage and security conditions for medications and supplies.
- Order, label, and count stock of medications, chemicals, and supplies.
- Receive and store incoming supplies, verify quantities against invoices, and inform the supervisor of stock needs and shortages.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Iowa Pharmacy Technician license preferred, but not required.
Experience:
- One to three years of pharmacy technician experience in a healthcare or senior living environment.
- Exemplary computer skills, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
