Opioid Addiction Therapist

The Substance Abuse Counselor will be responsible for providing compassionate and non-judgmental support to patients struggling with opioid addiction. This role involves conducting individual and group sessions to help patients manage crisis situations and develop coping strategies. The Counselor will work closely with doctors, nurses, and other professionals to ensure patients receive comprehensive care and achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments to identify patients' physical, emotional, and mental needs
• Provide individual and group counseling services to patients, including direct service hours and coordination of services
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with Federal and State regulations
• Facilitate treatment plans with patients, identifying their strengths and challenges
• Collaborate with supervisors to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with LBSW or ADC certification or a Master's degree with a willingness to obtain certification/license within 30 months. Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals is highly desirable. A positive, non-judgmental attitude towards patients is essential. The selected candidate will undergo a satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.
