Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Milker to join our team at Washington State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for milking approximately 150 Holstein cows in a double 5 herringbone parlor once per day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Milking and assisting cows in the milking process
  • Setting up and maintaining the pipeline system for milk transfer
  • Monitoring and executing critical product temperature benchmarks
  • Identifying and treating udder health problems and other health conditions
  • Working with researchers to gather milk samples and experimental data
  • Coordinating animal movement and engaging milking equipment
Requirements
  • Two years of experience in farm work or maintaining livestock
  • Able and willing to work rotating shifts
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet requirements
