Seattle, Washington, United States Amazon Full time
Join Our Team as a Cloud Security Software Engineer

The AWS Security Hub team is in search of dedicated and forward-thinking engineers to become part of our dynamic AWS security service.

We are looking for a robust candidate to assist in developing new features and functionalities with an emphasis on security and operational excellence.

A successful applicant will possess experience in managing large-scale, real-time systems utilizing streaming analytics and search technologies.

This role involves engaging with intricate software systems in a customer-focused environment, and a passion for not only creating high-quality software but also ensuring that the software meets its operational objectives.

Our team values flexibility in technology choices, believing firmly in selecting the appropriate tools for each task.

While a background in security is not a prerequisite for success on the Security Hub team, what is essential is a strong desire to tackle cutting-edge challenges, solve complex computer science problems, and convey that complexity in a straightforward manner to our customers.

Most importantly, candidates must demonstrate resilience, a commitment to advocating for the privacy and protection of our customers, and the ability to cultivate and maintain trust among colleagues.

Our Commitment to Inclusion

At AWS, we celebrate our differences and are dedicated to enhancing our culture of inclusion. We support ten employee-led affinity groups, engaging 40,000 employees across more than 190 chapters globally.

We offer innovative benefits and facilitate annual and ongoing learning experiences, including our Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (CORE) and AmazeCon (gender diversity) conferences.

Amazon's culture of inclusion is embedded within our 14 Leadership Principles, which encourage team members to seek diverse perspectives, foster curiosity, and build trust.

Work-Life Balance

Our team places significant importance on achieving a healthy work-life balance. It is not about the number of hours spent at home or work; rather, it is about creating a flow that energizes both aspects of your life.

We believe that finding the right equilibrium between personal and professional commitments is vital for long-term happiness and fulfillment.

We provide flexibility in working hours and encourage team members to discover their own balance between work and personal life.

Support and Growth

Our team is committed to supporting new members. We have a diverse mix of experience levels and tenures, fostering an environment that values knowledge sharing and mentorship.

Our senior members engage in one-on-one mentoring and conduct thorough yet constructive code reviews.

We prioritize your career development and strive to assign projects that will help each team member evolve into a more well-rounded engineer, enabling them to tackle more complex tasks in the future.
