About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at AdeIphi MedicaI Staffing. As a Speech-Language Pathology Professional, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and success of our organization.
About the Opportunity:
This is a full-time position with an estimated annual salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 based on experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state(s) where we operate and have a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be eligible to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide professionals, students, and support staff in their roles within the department, adhering to state licensure and professional standards.
- Coordinate and adhere to departmental and patient treatment schedules, including clinical documentation, billing, and work-related meetings.
- Participate in patient care conferences and contribute valuable insights to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Refer patients to other disciplines or agencies as needed to provide holistic care.
- Collaborate with the rehabilitation team and physician to select appropriate therapeutic regimens for each patient.
- Adapt programs and care plans to meet individual patient needs.
- Maintain a safe environment and address fire and safety hazards.
- Manage inventory and equipment maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
- Prioritize patient service, delivering compassionate care that respects individual needs and rights.
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments to establish diagnoses, identify impairments, and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Implement speech-language pathology treatments and document services in areas such as cognitive-communication, speech intelligibility, oral motor skills, swallowing disorders, perceptual abilities, orientation, memory, pragmatics, psychosocial expression, functional communication, and case management.
- Teach patients how to use adaptive communication devices effectively.
- Identify hearing deficits and refer patients for further assessment and rehabilitation.
- Select activities tailored to patients' physical and mental capacities, intelligence, and interests.
- Instruct patients in therapeutic skills and techniques, evaluating their progress, attitudes, and behavior.
- Perform routine re-examinations to modify or progress treatment plans as necessary.
- Coordinate home and community care with the interdisciplinary team and referring physician.
